On the Day of the Fair
A Sample Schedule:
8:00 a.m. Student arrivals. It's cold outside but you made it anyway!
Set up boards.
Breakfast Concessions open.
9:00 a.m. Judging Begins: Each student needs to be available at their 2
scheduled judging times. Families are requested to be out of the line
of sight for students. Parents are very distracting during judging!
Activities and play rooms open for families and children.
10:30 a.m. High School Speeches: Everyone is invited to hear 5 minute
presentations by high school students.
11:00 a.m. Science Demonstrations
Judges deliberate in the Judges Room
Open to the public when judging is complete.
11:30 a.m. Lunch at Concessions
12:30 p.m. Awards Ceremony:
Every student receives either a yellow, red or blue ribbon.
One student from each grade receives a certificate & top prize.
Invite friends and family members to come celebrate with you!
1:30 p.m. Visiting Hour: Students display ribbons at their boards and answer
questions from visitors.
2:30 p.m. Clean up: All families help stay and clean up our tables, activities, and
spaces so we can maintain good relationships with our host locations.
3:00 p.m. Rest on your laurels.
4:00 p.m. What project will you do next year?
